Ten years after the death of one of music’s most influential artists, Dunedin audiences are invited to celebrate the life, legacy and music of DAVID BOWIE with a major live tribute rock concert coming to the city in July 2026.

​

Featuring classics including Space Oddity, Rebel Rebel, Life on Mars?, Ashes to Ashes, Ziggy Stardust, Heroes & Modern Love this is a night not to be missed. Set beneath the stained-glass splendour of KNOX CHURCH, this is a rare chance to experience BOWIE again.

 

Performed by two of New Zealand’s most accomplished voices: Greg MacLeod and Ben Hayward, backed by Dunedin’s finest musicians.​​​

GREG MACLEOD brings his commanding stage presence and vocal range, honed through performances in Les Misérables, Jersey Boys, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Rock Tenors (Pink Floyd & Eagles), and Planet Earth Is Blue (Bowie’s Wake, Sammy’s, 2016).

He is joined by his son BEN HAYWARD, fresh from the national Rock Tenors: Rock Anthems tour. Together, this duo - backed by a nine-piece band - will bring Bowie’s music vividly back to life.
